Summer Ball Sweep
In what some are already calling one of the greatest moments in Evergreen Golf Club history, Alan Ohashi shot an amazing net 59 en route to a landslide victory over his nearest competitor. His score of 77 was 5 shots better than his previous best performance. Kuni Ikuta playing without the benefit of an inflated handicap came home second with a net 65. The spry octogenarian recently switched his grips and feels the equipment change was part of his success. Evergreen’s legendary former club and match play champion, Brad Blisner is strong on the comeback trail and finished third, three shots back of second place Ikuta.
In Match Play competition Kuni Ikuta hammered top-seeded Roger Nakagawa to advance to the second round with a 6 & 5 victory.
